Several Forest Stewardship Program events will be held this summer in the northwest region of the state, Center for Private Forests at Penn State recently announced.
The region includes Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango and Warren counties.
On June 24, North Central Forest Landowners Association: Best Practices, Woodland and Water Management will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at Come’s Education Center, 9011 Route 46, Smethport.
On July 8, North Central Forest Landowners Association: Annual Picnic and Membership Meeting will take place from noon to 4 p.m. in Cherry Springs picnic area pavilion, Cherry Springs.
Finally, on Aug.13, North Central Forest Landowners Association: How to Encourage Regeneration by Eliminated Undesirable Species will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at Petrick Tree Farm, 171 Allard Drive, Roulette.
