PORT ALLEGANY — Port Allegany borough is partnering with McKean County Conservation District and Environmental Coordination Services and Recycling to offer an electronics and household hazardous waste recycling event in August.
Items will be collected at the borough office’s parking lot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 5.
This event will provide residents with the opportunity to dispose of electronics, mercury-containing devices, fluorescent bulbs, cleaning chemicals, paint, solvents, and other hazardous household chemicals. ECS&R charges a minimal fee for the collection, transportation, recycling and disposal of these items.
ECS&R will help unload your vehicle, sort and weigh your items, and collect payment the day of the event. Payment can be made with cash, check, money order, or credit card. More information regarding the Electronic and Hazardous Household Waste event will be distributed once details are finalized.
