The ballots have been cast and counted, and there will be some races in the November general election in Elk County.
Elk County Elections and Voter Registration office recently released the official results, which were finalized May 24.
In St. Marys, Republican Louis Radkowski will face off against Democrat Lyle H. Garner for the mayoral seat. Radkowski received 648 votes and Garner received 570 votes on their respective tickets in the primary.
For St. Marys City Council, Betsy Healy, Margie Brown and Rich Schweikart each received write-in votes on the Democratic ballot –– 216, 229 and 192, respectively. Meanwhile, Republicans Robert Mohr received 474 votes and Christopher Pletcher, 446. Brown received 106 write-ins as a Republican. Three candidates from each party will be on the ballot in the fall.
Meanwhile, Ridgway Borough Mayor Dr. Guillermo Udarbe, who received 161 votes on the Republican ticket, will face a challenge in the fall from Donald Airgood, who received 25 write-in votes on Democratic ticket.
For the borough council, Steve Caggeso garnered 249 votes and Steve Keener, 181, both on the Democratic ticket, and for the Republicans, Ralph Dussia walked away with 126 votes; Keith A. Mader Jr., 131; Ronald Burkett, 152; and Sam MacDonald, 42 write-ins.
In Fox Township, Republican Matthew D. Pontzer received 209 votes and Randy Gradizzi received 318 Democratic votes.
On the Republican side on Johnsonburg Borough Council, Ronald King received 116 votes and for the Democrats, Louis G Imbrogno garnered 202 votes; Alfred Aljoe Maletto, 179; and Stephanie Carnessali, 166 votes.
In school board races, St. Area School District region 1, a 4-year term, Margaret Brown received 256 votes and Cly Hornung, 194. On the Democratic side, St. Marys Region 1, a 4-year seat, Robert Bert Sorg received 228 votes and Margaret Brown, 197 votes.
For St. Marys Area School District region 2, James J. Condon received 301 Republican votes and 265 Democratic votes for a 4-year term. For St. Marys Area School District region 2, a 4-year term, Timothy H. Frey garnered 11 write-in votes on the Republican ballot and 18 on the Democratic ballot.
And for St. Marys Area School District region 3, a 4-year term, Melissa R. Lundin received 281 votes.
For the Ridgway Area School Board area at large seat, a 4-year term, Aimee Kemick received 257 votes; William A. Seely, 173; Rita Buhite, 232; and Kristie Bennardi, 215.
For the Republican ticket, on Ridgway Area School Board, area at large, 4-year term, Aimee Kemick garnered 257 votes; Rita Buhite, 232; Kristie Bennardi, 215; and William A. Seely, 173. On the Democratic side, Ridgway Area School Board, area at large, 4-year term, Aimee Kemick received 338 votes; Rita Buhite, 339, Kristie Bennardi, 290; and Padraci McGrath, 193 write-ins.
Elsewhere in Elk County, District Attorney incumbent Shawn McMahon received 2,198 votes on the Democrat ballot and 352 write-ins on the Republican ticket.
For Magisterial District Judge 59-3-03, incumbent Mark Jacob received 1,302 Democratic votes and 1,163 Republican votes.
