SMETHPORT — The Penn State Extension of McKean County is offering a hands-on day camp to learn about natural resources and ecosystems in the Pennsylvania Wilds.
The STREAM (science, technology, reading the landscape, engineering, arts and math) day camp is for youth ages 10 to 14 and will be held June 27 to 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day in the Otto Township Community Park.
The park is located behind the Otto-Eldred High School in Duke Center.
Topics may include energy, navigation, forested ecosystems, invasive species, natural resources identification skills, tools of the naturalist’s trade and other STREAM related lessons.
There is a cost of $40. There are two scholarships available. Email lmj14@psu.edu for details
