KANE — A Kane man who went to the state police barracks on U.S. Route 219 near Lantz Corners Monday afternoon to report a crime has found himself on the wrong side of the law.
According to Kane-based state police, Ronald Lee Jordan Jr., 49, went to the barracks at 2:30 p.m. Monday to report a fight he had been in with another man.
“Upon further investigation, the actor was determined to be (driving under the influence of alcohol),” read a release from state police. “Charges are pending.”
According to court records, at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Robert Duck, 38, of 106 Clay St., Kane, and Jordan, 49, of 101 Clay St., arrived at the state police barracks in Kane to report an altercation they were in on Forest Road 122 Lafayette Township, about 3 miles east of Route 321.
Police said that the Duck and Jordan were arguing, and the argument turned physical. Duck allegedly punched Jordan in the right temple, then began choking him.
Court records indicated that Jordan was driving at the the time that Duck punched him.
The pair arrived together at the barracks, but “as Jordan was reporting the incident in the lobby, Duck fled the station on foot,” police reported. Troopers quickly stopped Duck on U.S. Route 219 and brought him back to the barracks. “Duck became increasingly belligerent with troopers while at the barracks.”
Duck was charged with aggravated assault and other charges, and was incarcerated in McKean County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on June 1.
