As Memorial Day approaches and we remember those who valiantly died to protect our country and help people of other nations live with dignity, please remember also the heroes who have returned home from past conflicts.
These men and women offered their lives for Americans — and for many other humans.
In their brave efforts, many have also sacrificed their health and physical well-being. These veterans deserve the dignity and respect they fought to give to our United States of America. Please help them now.
The Disabled American Veterans of the Bradford area are in dire need of transportation to their doctor appointments. Would you please consider giving one day of your time occasionally to help them by transporting veterans to their VA centers to receive needed treatment? No cost is involved as the government vehicle parked at the Bradford Post Office is used for transport.
These disabled American veterans gave of their time to protect our lives. Please be a buddy and give of your time to help them protect their health. To be a volunteer driver for this vital need, contact the DAV Transportation Network at 460-2327.
