SMETHPORT — A Bradford man who pleaded guilty in July 2016 to a charge of rape by forcible compulsion has withdrawn his plea.
Seth A. Travis, 20, was scheduled for a sentencing hearing on Thursday in McKean County Court for the charge, but his attorney, John Thomas, filed a motion to withdraw the plea.
President Judge John Pavlock issued an order accepting the motion, and the case will be scheduled for trial on June 26, with a pretrial conference scheduled for June 1.
Travis had pleaded guilty July 7 to allegations that on April 12, 2016, he had sexual intercourse with a female using force.
