Democrat James Heckman will face off against Republican Carl McCracken for a seat on the Foster Township supervisors in the November election, according to unofficial election results.
McCracken received 191 votes and Terry Boyle, 92; both are Republicans. There were three write-in votes on the Republican ballot.
Heckman garnered 41 votes on the Democratic ballot; there were eight write-ins.
McCracken is a self-employed oil producer/well service contractor, co-owns and operates two businesses located in Foster Township and is a third-generation Foster Township resident.
Heckman is employed at Case Cutlery, and he said he enjoys hunting, bowling, stargazing and being politically active.
