PORT ALLEGANY — Oswayo Valley’s Ryan Graves came one walk away from tossing a perfect game. He’ll just have to settle for a no-hitter, as the Green Wave blanked Port Allegany 10-0.
Graves struck out seven Gators hitters while yielding the lone base on balls.
“He was all around the plate,” Port Allegany coach Nate Zitnik said. “We just weren’t able to get on him.”
Graves also did some damage at the plate, notching a double and an RBI. Garret Babcock (double), Camden Graves (double, two RBIs), and Grant West (triple) also registered extra-base hits for the Green Wave (14-2).
Port Allegany (2-9) will travel to face Smethport on Monday.
