RIDGWAY — A fire that destroyed a garage in Wilcox Sunday morning has been ruled accident, state police fire marshal Trooper Russell Stewart reported.
According to Stewart, at 8:41 a.m. Sunday, the Wilcox Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at 1296 Horner Road in a detached garage owned by Kathy Shaffer, 58, of Wilcox. The fire was caused by an overloaded electrical circuit in the interior entryway.
Damage to the building was estimated at $140,000, said Stewart.
He did not report any injuries.
The Johnsonburg and Ridgway fire departments assisted at the scene.
