SMETHPORT — April is child abuse awareness month, and McKean County Children and Youth Services are reminding residents what to do if abuse is suspected.
If the situation is immediate, call 9-1-1.
If abuse is suspected, call ChildLine at 1-800-932-0313.
A county Children and Youth Services department is the sole entity responsible for receiving and investigating all reports of child abuse.
