NEWS: We’re excited to share a bit of news for you about a friend of ours here at RTS.
We’re happy to say that Alan Hancock, photographer, musician and shopkeeper at The Panther Shop at Pitt-Bradford, has been selected for a unique honor.
He’s been named to a newly created position in President Donald Trump’s cabinet — Secretary of Trichology. Alan’s musical skills are known to many in the community, but his ability to grow an amazing head of hair is what led to his recognition from President Trump — a man who appreciates all that hair can be.
Right now, Alan’s hair is short, but we know it won’t be for long.
Congratulations, Alan, on the honor, and happy growing!
FAME: There’s a long history in Bradford with the oil industry, along with timber and manufacturing. Work has been underway for many years by the Office of Economic and Community Development to recognize that heritage and to modernize the city.
Those efforts aren’t going unnoticed. DIY Network has been in touch for a new series — “Rehab That City!” Hosts Drew and Jonathan Scott each will take a different section of town and compete, rebuilding homes and giving the city a makeover. Then the world will vote — which brother did it better?
We’ve warned them about negative attitudes in much of the local populace, but that have a plan for that, too. It’s a secret, but we’re going to let the cat out of the bag — It’s Dr. Phil McGraw!
We can’t wait for filming, and rehab, to start!
ZIPPO: And we have a pretty important Zippo sighting to pass on, too. As part of President Trump’s promise to “Make America Great Again,” he wants to showcase some generational American made products.
For this year’s Fourth of July, make sure to take a look at the torch in the right hand of the Statue of Liberty. The top of the torch will feature a Zippo lighter making a real flame over the New York Harbor.
TODAY: If you are paying attention to the calendar, you know that none of what is above is true — it’s April Fools Day! Did we get you?
