The Bradford Area Public Library is holding several several events and contests April 9-15 during National Library Week.
“This year’s theme is Libraries Transform, reminding people that libraries are not just about what we have for people, but what we do for and with people,” library officials said in a statement. “We are more than just about checking out books and movies. The library offers free Wifi, access to computers, eBooks and a wide array for programming for children and adults.”
Scavenger hunts are being planned during the week. Children 12 and younger will receive a free book, and patron ages 13 and up will receive a gift certificate from the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce.
Informational tables about the library services and staff will be set up throughout the facility. People will also be to obtain a library card.
In addition, patrons can return overdue material and the fine will be forgiven, as part of Fine Amnesty Week.
