Bradford man found guilty in assault case

SMETHPORT — A Bradford man was found guilty of simple assault and other charges after a trial Monday in McKean County Court.

Juan R. Saenz-Morales Jr., 34, was convicted of two counts of misdemeanor simple assault and two counts of summary harassment, according to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer.

Court records indicate the incident occurred Aug. 14 in the city Bradford.

“Assistant District Attorney Ashley Shade prosecuted the case,” said Shaffer. “Sentencing has been scheduled for April 13.

In the meantime, Morales is free on $10,000 unsecured bail, court records stated.
