The Bradford City Water Authority accepted bids Wednesday for two line relocations.
Both bids will be awarded to Klinginsmith Enterprises of Conneaut Lake, which submitted the lowest bids: $42,730 for a project on Derrick Road and $35,090 for a project on Olean Road, both in Foster Township.
The authority must move two 8-inch water mains because the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is replacing bridges at each of the project locations.
Seven companies submitted bids, which were opened Wednesday, and E&M Engineers — the engineering firm working on the authority projects — recommended the authority accept the Klinginsmith bids.
The authority will be eligible for reimbursement from PennDOT for up to 75 percent of the project costs.
The authority may have to move another water main for a PennDOT bridge replacement on Big Shanty Road in Lafayette Township. They will request that PennDOT pay for a portion of this project, too.
