Bradford Sanitary Authority announced on Tuesday the launch of its new website,http://BradfordSanitary.com, which is set to go live on Thursday.
The website is provided by Muni-Link WebPresence, which offers a platform specifically designed for utility billing authorities.
Other current projects of the authority are the recent enrollment in a Demand Response Energy Reduction program, and line cleaning work being completed in anticipation of upcoming Streetscape improvements in Bradford City.
“Bradford Sanitary Authority’s newly designed website offers quick and easy access to essential information and features, such as the ability to enroll for notifications, complete web forms for contact requests, report a problem and schedule an appointment,” said Executive Director Rick Brocius in a statement. “Going forward the Authority will be working to develop other features such as the ability to view, print or pay bills online and more.”
The new website has a clean, organized design, improved functionality, and enhanced, rich content focused on serving Bradford Sanitary Authority customers and community.
“We are excited about our new website launch and the robust information it provides for our customers and community,” said Brocius. “We believe that this new site will allow our visitors to have a very informative experience as we work to provide easy access to many services and timely communication of news, announcements and project updates.”
According to Brocius, “Bradford Sanitary Authority’s new website will be updated on a regular basis with news, announcements, project statuses and other information.”
Visitors to the site can sign up for notifications at http://BradfordSanitary.com/customer-updates or by clicking on the orange Receive Updates button at the top of the website. More information about the new website can be found at http://BradfordSanitary.com/csa/new-website.
Regarding the energy reduction program, Brocius indicated the authority will be rewarded for its participation.
“By responding to a request to reduce its electric load on the grid during peak demand periods, BSA will qualify for a cash payment,” he stated. “The program is voluntary and the enrollment is for five years. The projected payment benefit for participating in the program over the five-year period is $50,744.00.”
Out in the collection system, the authority has been cleaning sanitary sewer and stormwater lines in areas where Bradford City will be completing streetscape projects in 2017 and 2018, according to Brocius.
Bradford City has received grant funding to help with projects in areas including Veterans Square, Congress Street and Main Street between Davis and Mechanic streets. Cleaning those areas means the authority will be less likely to have to disturb the updated streets once the improvement projects are completed.
“Following a complete cleaning the lines will be inspected and recorded by video camera to assess their condition,” said Brocius. “Any required repairs will be coordinated with the construction period for the projects.”
Residents can help the authority in its efforts to support the streetscape projects by speaking up about work they need completed.
“Property owners with sump pumps, downspouts or roof drains, that need connected to the stormwater system are asked to contact the authority for assistance,” he said.
