The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford chapter of Colleges for a Cure is sponsoring Paws for a Cause — a fun-filled day with pets — noon to 4 p.m. March 25.
The group’s purpose is to bring awareness to all types of cancer, including those suffered by animals, and to allow everyone to do their part in finding a cure.
Activities for the event, which will take place at the Hangar Building on campus, include a pet walk, raffle baskets, coloring stations and an Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Habitat for Humanity provided a dog house that will be raffled as well. ‘
There will also be activities for people to do with their pets, such as a paw-print craft station. Proceeds will benefit the McKean County SPCA.
For those who wish to visit the Habitat for Humanity ReStore used-item sale taking place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. the same day in the Richard and Ruth McDowell Sport and Fitness Center, pet sitting will be available.
