A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail on allegations that he assaulted and threatened to kill a former girlfriend in an alleged domestic incident early Monday.
Andrew Francis Owens, 21, of 34 South Ave., Apt. 1, is charged with terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; criminal mischief, a third-degree misdemeanor; and harassment, a summary offense.
According to court records, about 2 a.m., Owens was in the female victim’s apartment, causing damage to the apartment. The two argued, and the argument turned physical. Owens choked the victim, punched her in the head, attempted to stab her with a pocket knife and threatened to kill her if she called the police, the records read.
Owens was arraigned before District Judge Rich Luther and remanded to jail in lieu of $35,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
