Sexual assault charges against teen dropped

SMETHPORT — Sexual assault charges against a Bradford teen have been dropped.

Codi L.M. Veite, 18, of Bradford, was charged Dec. 2 on the allegations. On Thursday in McKean County Court, Assistant District Attorney Ashley Shade announced her intention to nolle pros the charges.

Veite, who had been incarcerated from Dec. 2-14, has been free on unsecured bail since a preliminary hearing Dec. 14.
