Rebecca Walker’s visit to the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford scheduled for March 20 has been canceled.
In lieu of Walker’s talk, the Women’s History Month Committee has planned a new event, “Strategies for Blazing Your Own Trail – Empowering Trailblazing Women,” to take place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. March 20 at the Bromeley Family Theater in Blaisdell Hall.
The campus-community dialogue event will begin with individuals sharing testimonials about women who have been influential in their lives. Afterward, small groups will discuss how women can identify and pursue trails to blaze.
Finally, the evening will include a networking reception with hot and cold hors d’oevres and Women’s History Month signature mocktails.
