The all-time leading rusher at Otto-Eldred High School, Seth Drummond, headlines this week’s Big 30 Charities Classic roster additions.
Joining Drummond is teammate Grant West and Joe Johnson of Kane.
Drummond, 5-8, 200 pounds, was a running back/linebacker for the Terrors.
He plans on attending Gannon University for pre-physician’s assistant studies and then attend graduate school to finish his degree.
While at Gannon, Drummond plans on playing football for the Golden Knights.
In addition to being the all-time rushing leader at Otto-Eldred High School, he is a two-time Big 30 All-Star and a three-time AML All-Star.
Drummond is a National Honor Society Member and a Presidential Academic Student.
In addition, he is a High Honor student.
Drummond becomes the third-generation family member to play in the Big 30 game with both his father and grandfather being past players in the Classic.
His most memorable moment was winning the AML North title this past season.
His hobbies include many sports and listening to many genres of music.
West, 6-3, 190 pounds, was a tight end/linebacker for the Terrors.
West plans to attend Penn State University and major in architectural engineering.
In baseball, West was an AML All-Star as a junior, Big 30 All-Star as a junior and a district runner-up as a junior.
In wrestling, he was an AML All-Star as a junior and a regional qualifier as a junior. In addition, he was named team MVP.
In football, he was an AML All-Star as a junior and senior and named his team’s MVP as a junior. West was a member of the Otto-Eldred North Division championship team as well as a Big 30 All-Star.
He is a member of the National Honor Society and received his academic letter in 9th through 12 grades.
West’s most memorable moment playing football was helping his team win the AML North title.
His hobbies include baseball, wrestling, hunting and weight lifting.
Johnson, 5-11, 180 pounds, was a kicker for the Wolves.
Johnson plans to attend a four-year college.
He is a member of the National Honor Society and a Big 30 All-Star.
While at Kane Area High School, he set a school record 61 PATs.
Johnson’s most memorable football moment was going 10 for 10 in PATs.
His hobbies are hunting and fishing.
Added to the New York roster are Seth Reeder and Carter Hoffman, both of Wellsville, and Allegany-Limestone’s Ryan Schlosser and Thayuni Marks.
Reeder, 5-7, 153 pounds, was a wide receiver/tight end/cornerback.
Reeder has a Coaches Award and a Most Dedicated award and was named the team’s Defensive MVP.
His most memorable moments in football were playing with some of the most talented kids he knows.
His hobbies include lifting and working on cars.
Hoffman, 5-9, 150 pounds, was a running back/safety for Wellsville.
Hoffman plans to attend college and earn a degree in agriculture/business.
His athletic awards include, in baseball, 2015 Coaches Award, 2016 MVP Defense, 2016 Captain and 2016 All-State Team; in basketball, 2015/2016 All-Tournament Team and 2015/2016 Section V Championship team that made it to the western final; and in football, 2015 team captain and defensive MVP, 2016 team captain and MVP offense and 2016 Honorable Mention Classic All-State team.
His most memorable moment was winning a homecoming game in the 2016 season.
Hoffman’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, kayaking, four-wheeling, snowmobiling and showing animals at the fair.
Schlosser, 6-1, 175 pounds, was a wide receiver/cornerback for A-L.
Schlosser plans to attend Saint Lawrence University for conservation/biology.
He was named all- league in baseball and received a Sportsmanship and Coaches award in football. He is a member of the National Honor Society.
His most memorable moment playing was beating Wilson on a goal line stand in the playoffs.
Schlosser’s hobbies include skiing, hunting, fishing, baseball and hiking.
Marks, 6-4, 250 pounds, was a lineman/end for A-L.
Marks plans to attend Alfred State University and major in construction management.
He was the captain of his football team and was an Honor Roll student all through high school.
He said ever since he heard of the Big 30 game he has strived to be one of the invitees.
Marks’ most memorable moment was the one-yard line goal line stand against Wilson in the playoffs.
His hobbies include spray paint art and working on his truck.
