Charges against two Bradford people accused of aggravated assault were bound to McKean County Court on Wednesday after a hearing before Magisterial District Judge Dominic Cercone.
Timothy Avery Reedus-Gilyard, 24, of 26 King St., and Cori Leigh Stoddard, 27, of 14 Poplin Ave., Apt. 3, have been accused of assaulting a man at 2:34 a.m. Dec. 18, 2016, at Country Fair, court records stated.
On Dec. 18, Bradford City Police were dispatched to the convenience store for a report of a fight involving multiple people.
Surveillance footage from the incident showed Stoddard kicking Matson Stewart in the head while he was on the ground on his back; also, she hit an unknown female in the face and pulled her hair, according to court records.
For his part, the video showed Gilyard also kicking Stewart while he was on the ground, getting him in the head and torso, and Gilyard ran up to Evan Smith and punched him in the face while Smith had his back to Gilyard, court records stated.
When police were trying to interview people at the scene to find out what happened, Gilyard kept interrupting officers, saying “he was the problem” and telling them to arrest him; when police eventually did arrest him and put him in a police car, he began kicking the inside of the car and had to be asked several times to stop, according to court records.
Stoddard and Gilyard are each charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, a first-degree felony; three counts of simple assault and one count of conspiracy to commit simple assault, all second-degree misdemeanors; disorderly conduct, a third-degree misdemeanor; and harassment, a summary charge, court records stated. Gilyard faces one additionally summary charge of harassment, too.
Gilyard is free, having posted $20,000 bail, and Stoddard is free on unsecured bail.
