SMETHPORT — The United Methodist Church of Smethport has announced that the United Methodist Women’s group will once again sponsor a Lenten devotion and luncheon each Wednesday during Lent.
The devotions will begin at !2:05 p.m., with a buffet-style lunch to follow.
The speakers for the Lenten luncheons are as follows: March 1 – David Ball; March 8 – Jody Larson; March 15 – Sue Roboski; March 22 – the Rev. Carol Carlson; March 29 – Dorothy Dart; April 5 – Rob Hernan; and April 12 – Clark Johnson.
The church is located at the corner of King and Church streets in Smethport. The public is welcome to attend. A donation of $6 is suggested.
There will also be an Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
