SMETHPORT — A Bradford man who has been serving a prison sentence for indecent assault was sentenced last week to an additional prison term for a different indecent assault.
On Feb. 14, Aaron M. Nazario, 32, was sentenced by Senior Judge William Morgan to 18 months to three years in state prison with credit for 126 days of time served, according to the sentencing order.
Further, Nazario will undergo mental health and drug and alcohol evaluations and sex offender treatment, and he is to have no contact with the victim or any juveniles except for his biological children. He is to register as a sex offender for life, the order stated.
An online criminal docket for Nazario states that on Dec. 28, 2016, an order classifying him as a sexually violent predator was filed.
He was previously found not to be a sexually violent predator in an evaluation after the first case.
Nazario pleaded guilty June 1, 2016, to a charge of indecent assault of a person less than 13-years-old, court records stated. He had been accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.
On June 24, 2016, he was sentenced to one to two years in state prison after a conviction by jury of a charge of indecent assault without consent. In this case, he had been accused of having sexual contact with a woman who was delivering food to his house from a local restaurant.
