Bradford motorists are paying an average of $2.534 a gallon for unleaded, self-serve gasoline this week, according to the American Automobile Association’s Fuel Gauge Report.
Meanwhile, the average price for gas across the region stands at $2.550 a gallon, up a penny from last week, AAA officials said. Nationwide, the average price for gas is $2.28 a gallon, slightly up from last week, and the same as one week ago. AAA officials said the price is 56 cents more than the same time last year.
AAA officials said prices continue to remain flat due to lower driving demand and an oversupplied market as a result of increased U.S. production. As refinery maintenance season begins and driving demand increases, we could expect to see some of the gasoline supply in the U.S. soaked up.
The following is a list of the average price of unleaded self-serve gasoline in various areas: $2.635, Altoona; $2.576, Brookville; $2.540, Clarion; $2.518, DuBois; $2.461, Erie; $2.609, Indiana; $2.578, Kittanning; $2.580, Meadville; $2.552, Pittsburgh; and $2.596, Warren.
