SALAMANCA, N.Y. — The power of sports and the timelessness of classic entertainment highlight the May schedule announced on Tuesday for the Seneca Allegany Events Center at Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino in Salamanca.
Seneca Fight Night: King of the Cage MMA comes to the Seneca Allegany Events Center for the first time at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 6. The following week, the legendary Paul Anka will perform a special Mother’s Day show at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 14, also at the Seneca Allegany Events Center.
Casino officials said this will be the first mixed martial arts card promoted by King of the Cage to be held in the Seneca Allegany Events Center. The leader in casino mixed martial arts entertainment, King of the Cage has hosted multiple events at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, N.Y. After performing more than 500 events since its inception in 1998, King of the Cage continues to promote shows globally, including the United States and far-reaching countries such as England, Singapore, South Africa, Canada, Japan, Australia and the Philippines.
Event information will be announced soon. Tickets go on sale at noon Friday. Tickets start at $35.
Meanwhile, Anka has churned out a long list of memorable songs, including “Diana,” “Put Your Head On My Shoulder,” and “Hold Me ‘Til The Morning Comes.” He also made his mark writing hit songs for other performers, including the epic smash “My Way,” recorded most notably by Frank Sinatra, as well as songs for the likes of Buddy Holly, Michael Jackson and many others. Tickets will go on sale at noon Friday, and start at $45.
