SMETHPORT — The Smethport Student Council delivered more than 5,000 cans of food and a check for $1,250 to the Christian Community Service food bank in Smethport.
The students collected the donations from Jan. 10 through Feb. 10.
The student council at Smethport Area Junior-Senior High School sponsored the 13th annual drive, and students from both the high school and Smethport Area Elementary School helped to collect non-perishable food items.
