The Bradford Family YMCA is looking to raise more than $125,000 to provide support to the 800-plus youth impacted daily and 3,600-plus overall individuals served.
The announcement came at the organization’s annual campaign kick-off event held at Beefeater’s Afterwards Lounge in Bradford on Monday evening.
“The Bradford ‘Y’ uses this completely volunteer-driven campaign to provide support to its philanthropic roots and mission to provide an environment that builds strong kids, strong families, and strong communities,” said Bradford Family YMCA Branch Manager Brent Raabe.
In 2016, the Bradford Family YMCA gave back more than $330,000 in support of the services it offers to the community.
“The need is great in this community and we could not achieve this goal without the dedication of the staff, board of directors, division leaders and devoted volunteers,” Raabe said. “We also want to thank the Bradford community for their generosity and support in the past, and for the support so far this year.”
To date, more than $60,000 has been raised for the 2017 Bradford Family YMCA Annual Campaign. This year’s campaign chairman is Ken Coffman, who is the dean of students at Bradford Area High School.
“We would like to thank everyone that was able to make it to the kick-off, all of those who help contribute to this cause-driven movement, and the Bradford area community for choosing us as your YMCA,” Raabe said.
