COUDERSPORT — Frank Licata, operations manager of Mann Lake Ltd., will be the guest speaker of a meeting of the North Central Pennsylvania Beekeepers Association from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 11 at the Gunzburger Building in Coudersport.
Licata will speak on the topic “managing your hives through the seasons,” which will feature various topics such as bringing hives into spring; hive issues and remedies; apiary increases via splits and nucs; and setting up a successful business, among other topics.
Advance reservations are required by March 3. The cost to attend is $10 per club member; $15 for non-members. Lunch is included. Checks can be made to the North Central Pennsylvania Beekeepers Association and mailed to Joan Bradley, P.O. Box 635, Shinglehouse, PA 16748.
Supplies ordered from Mann Lake can be delivered at the seminar with no delivery fees. Order online and change the delivery to “pickup at NCPBA meeting.”
