JOHNSONBURG — All but one of the 30 sex-assault related charges against a Johnsonburg man were bound to Elk County Court after a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge James Martin on Wednesday.
The charges had been filed against Timothy Richard Jones, 23, on Jan. 23.
Court records indicate one charge of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a person less than 16-years-old was withdrawn; however, three other counts of the same charge, all first-degree felonies, were bound over.
Other charges Jones will face in Elk County Court are four counts of unlawful contact with a minor-sexual offenses, all first-degree felonies; four counts each of statutory sexual assault-4 to 8 years older and aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 16-years-old and one count of child pornography, all second-degree felonies; three counts of corruption of minors, two counts of dissemination of explicit sexual material to a minor and one count of sex abuse, all third-degree felonies; one count of corruption of minors, a first-degree misdemeanor; and six counts of indecent assault of a person less than 16-years-old, all second-degree misdemeanors, court records stated.
Court records list the offense date as Dec. 18, 2016, for allegations that took place in Johnsonburg.
Jones remains incarcerated in Elk County Jail in Ridgway in lieu of $100,000 bail.
