A Bradford man has been jailed for an alleged assault Tuesday morning at Country Fair, 8 W. Washington St. in Bradford.
Jeffrey Michael Bartholomew, 45, of 94 Pleasant St., Apt. 2, was arraigned Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge Dominic Cercone on charges of simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and harassment, a summary charge, court records stated.
Court records said the alleged victim had poured her morning cup of coffee and was walking to the register to pay, when Bartholomew walked into the store and began yelling at her, saying she was not a good friend.
She told him to leave her alone, and he grabbed her by the throat, shoved her to the ground, and fled before Bradford City Police arrived, court records stated.
Bartholomew was incarcerated in McKean County Jail in Smethport in lieu of $15,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Feb. 16.
