The Dairy Queen restaurant in Bradford was briefly evacuated on Tuesday evening after a report of a fire in one of the air conditioning units.
At 6:18 p.m., members of the Bradford City Fire Department were dispatched to 119 W. Washington St. to find no flames showing, but electrical burning could be smelled.
Restaurant staff pointed to where they saw smoke and flames –– an air conditioning unit used to keep the ice cream mix cool.
In a report issued Tuesday, Capt. Mike Scrivo attributed the incident to an electrical malfunction or a motor seize up.
Scrivo said the cooling unit was the only item damaged.
No one was injured, the report states.
