Officials are investigating an altercation in which a teen was injured Tuesday afternoon on Bradford Area School District bus #18.
A 14-year-old boy was taken to Bradford Regional Medical Center for treatment of a puncture wound in his thigh from a pencil, stated a press release from Assistant Police Chief Michael Ward.
At 2:41 p.m., Bradford City Police responded to an assault report. Two 14-year-old males got into an altercation on the bus on South Kendall Avenue, near East Main Street, Ward reported. “The bus driver immediately pulled over and called for assistance,” he continued. Bradford City Fire Department paramedics transported the injured male to the hospital.
“The incident was isolated between the two individuals and no one else on the bus was injured,” Ward stated. “The other male juvenile was taken into custody and removed from the bus.”
The names of the teens involved were not released.
