ALLEGANY, N.Y. — Enchanted Mountains Lodge #252 Free and Accepted Masons will hold the 19th annual Veterans Memorial Euchre Tournament at noon March 18 at the Allegany American Legion Post 892 at 4350 State Road West in Allegany.
Registration will begin at 11 a.m.
The event is held to honor the memory of all veterans who have served the United States. In keeping with the Masonic principles of friendship, morality, brotherly love and charity, as well as the fact that so many lodge members have served, proceeds will support local veteran organizations.
Last year, the proceeds were donated to the Joint Veterans Committee volunteer van service and the Allegany American legion funeral degree team. Over the past 18 years, thousands of dollars have been raised and donated to veterans organizations.
All euchre players are invited to participate for a donation of $8. Lunch and door prizes are provided to all players.
A record number of players participated last year, so there may be a cutoff for the number of players. To reserve a space or donate a door prize, call Bruce Kenney, tournament chairman, at (716) 372-1001 during the day or (716) 560-5883 at night.
