Looking for a cure for cabin fever?
Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kara Kennedy says that there’s an elixir for that, and it involves spending a relaxed evening socializing while sampling some brews.
The fifth annual Bradford Brewfest has been scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 25 at the St. Bernard Elementary and Middle School gymnasium on West Washington Street in Bradford Township.
“We usually see between 300 and 350 people for the event, and those who have attended in the past always tell us that they really look forward to coming back again,” Kennedy said, calling the event a great time.
Individuals attending the event receive a souvenir sampling glass, tickets for brew samples and a door prize ticket. The signature sponsor is Glenwood Beer Distributors, which provides the samples.
Food vendors will also be showcased, including Metz Culinary Management from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Pizza Napoli, Togi’s Restaurant and Togi’s Sub Station.
The Inexpensive Winos will also perform at the event.
A Chinese auction will also take place, and will feature some unique items from Glenwood Beer Distributors like a Leinenkugel toboggan and Coors Light mountain-shaped wheeled cooler, along with a 50/50 giveaway, Kennedy said.
Tickets are on sale at the Chamber of Commerce office on Main Street in advance for $20 and at the door for $25.
Designated driver tickets are available at the door and include complimentary water and soda. Bradford Travel/Covered Wagon Tours will provide overflow parking via shuttle service.
