Bradford City property owners received two tax bills from McKean County this week, and unfortunately, the one with the higher amount is the one they will have to pay.

The initial tax bill, which included a millage rate of 10 mills, was sent out on Monday, and the new bill, with the correct 11.25 millage rate, was mailed out property owners on Wednesday and Thursday.

McKean County Commissioner Cliff Lane attributed the mistake to a software error.

“Sorry for any inconvenience or concerns. The commissioners apologize,” he told The Era on Friday.
