SMETHPORT — A Bradford man pleaded guilty Thursday in McKean County Court to charges in three cases, including the robbery of the Bradford Coin Shop in October 2016.
Ozzy M. Strait, 19, pleaded guilty in one case to robbery-inflict threat of immediate bodily injury, simple assault and theft by unlawful taking; in a second case to simple assault; and in a third case to receiving stolen property.
District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer said on Oct. 8, 2016, Strait assaulted Bradford Coin Shop owner Gene Seagren and took $250 worth of items from the business.
Also, between July 19-23, 2016, Strait assaulted a woman, and on June 19, 2016, he received $12.25 worth of items that had been stolen from Family Dollar, including perfume, Dramamine and a wallet, Shaffer said.
Strait will be sentenced on March 2.
Meanwhile, a co-defendant in the robbery case, Michael Kelly, was sentenced in December for his role in the incident. He is serving 22 months to four years in state prison.
