Bradford motorists are paying an average of $2.498 a gallon for unleaded, self-serve gasoline this week, according to the American Automobile Association Fuel Gauge Report.
Elsewhere across the region, the average price for gas stands at $2.574 a gallon, a decline of four cents from last week. AAA officials said the nationwide price for gas is $2.27 a gallon.
AAA officials said continual growth in the number of U.S. oil rigs and the increased drilling implies raising expectations for a climb in domestic oil production. Additionally, increased U.S. crude oil production coupled with lower driving demand has kept downward pressure on the national average price at the pump, which has fallen for 21 consecutive days.
The following is a list of the average price of unleaded self-serve gasoline in various areas: $2.648, Altoona; $2.590, Brookville; $2.558, Clarion; $2.485, DuBois; $2.518, Erie; $2.623, Indiana; $2.598, Kittanning; $2.586, Meadville; $2.597, Pittsburgh; and $2.607, Warren.
