SMETHPORT — The McKean County Conservation District will hold training workshops of interest to farmers and other individuals seeking pesticide update training.
Workshops will be held in partnership with Penn State Extension.
A winter farmers meeting will be held at noon Feb. 10 at the St. Elizabeth Church in Smethport. There is a registration fee of $10 for lunch and materials. The afternoon class is worth two category and two core pesticide update credits (categories available are PC, 1, 10, 18, 23). Lunch will be provided. Register by Feb. 3.
Meanwhile, an integrated pest management meeting will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at the McKean County 911 classroom in Smethport. There is a registration fee of $10 for materials. The class is worth two category and two core pesticide recertification credits (categories available are PC, 07, 18, 23). Register by Feb. 8.
