FALCONER, N.Y. — The Allegheny Highlands Council, Boy Scouts of America, recently recognized its 2016 Class of Eagle Scouts at St. Bonaventure University.
The Eagle Scouts, along with their parents and scoutmaster, were guests of the council at a dinner in their honor. Sixteen of the 37 young men who attained the rank of Eagle Scout were able to attend, along with other past Eagle Scouts. Collectively, the 37 Eagle Scouts gave leadership to community service projects totaling more than 4,800 hours of service.
Rick Turner from Lakewood, an Eagle Scout and chief executive officer of Matric Corp., was the keynote speaker. More than 100 people were in attendance to celebrate the scouts’ achievements.
