SMETHPORT — Burglary charges that were filed in September against a Kane man were withdrawn Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge William Todd.
Shane T. Horton, 28, had been scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday for allegations he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s Smethport apartment to return items belonging to her and take items he had left behind.
All the criminal charges have been withdrawn, court records indicate.
On Tuesday, summary charges of trespassing and criminal mischief were filed against Horton and he pleaded guilty to the summaries, according to court records.
