BROOKVILLE – Tyler Gigliotti scored a game-high 20 points, but fell to 0-2 in D9 League play by falling to Brookville, 61-46, Friday night.
Steve Knowlton added 11 points for the Owls (3-8, 0-2 D9 League).
“We are still struggling to score points,” Bradford High head coach Brian Hobbs said. “We have to find a way to score more baskets. We did shoot our free throws better tonight and we did handle the press better tonight, but we did miss some cues on defense tonight that we have to get better at. We just let them penetrate to paint too much tonight.”
Bradford was able to stay with Brookville in the first half trailing by four at the half. Brookville opened up a nine-point lead in the third quarter and outscored the Owls 18-13 in the fourth quarter for the victory.
Leading Brookville (1-2 D9 League) was Aaron Park with 13 points, while Ben Reitz and Colton Singleton added 11 and 10 tallies, respectively.
Bradford returns to action Wednesday night at home with DuBois.

Close scored a game-high 20 points and combined with Sawyer Drummond’s 11 tallies, led the Terrors to a 57-49 victory.
“The Close kid hurt us,” said Clark Cummings, OV coach. “We just did not do a good job on him defensively.”
The Green Wave jumped out to an early lead, but couldn’t hold on to it.
“We got off to a good start and led 8-4, but then got into some foul trouble and for a five minute span between the end of the first quarter and start of the second, did not score,” Cummings explained. “They (O-E) got the lead and we just did not have enough to come back.”
Three players put double digit point totals in the book for the Green Wave. Leading the way was Theo Henry with 16 points followed by Garrett Babcock with 14 and Gavin Babcock with 11.
