PORT ALLEGANY — A National Day of Remembrance community event is slated for 4 p.m. Jan. 29 in the parking lot of the First Presbyterian Church at 12 Church St. in Port Allegany.
The event is in honor of those lost to addiction and is sponsored by Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services Inc.
Organizers said the event will feature a short prayer and a personal reflection from those who have lost loved ones, friends, or family to the disease of addiction. Following the remembrance, those in attendance are invited for a tour of the new Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services administrative and outpatient offices.
Refreshments will follow in the social room provided by the First Presbyterian Church.
