An Eldred man is charged with access device fraud after allegedly using someone else’s debit card number to order food on multiple occasions.
Isaac David Hilyer, 19, of 247 Windfall Road, was arraigned Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Richard Luther on three counts of access device fraud, all first-degree misdemeanors; and theft of services, a summary charge, court records stated.
Court records said On Dec. 17, 2016, University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Police received a call from the manager of Pizza Hut in Bradford, who said a driver delivered a medium pizza, cinnamon sticks and a two-liter bottle of pop to a “Lebron James” — Hilyer — at the Walt Whitman House, Apt. 11, at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
Hilyer had paid for the $23.16 purchase online using a debit card number that only covered 21 cents of the cost. During a conversation with police, he admitted that he found a woman’s debit card and wrote down the card number, court records stated.
In addition to to the Pizza Hut order, Hilyer allegedly used the card number to purchase food three times from Domino’s, racking up $57.37 in additional charges, according to court records.
Hilyer was released on $5,000 unsecured bail, and he is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Jan. 19.
