ROULETTE — Multiple firefighters battled a fire at the Elliott Lumber Co. in Roulette on Tuesday afternoon.

At 1:14 p.m., members of the Roulette, Port Allegany and Coudersport fire departments were dispatched to the facility on Main Street for a report of a fire in the ventilation system. During the incident, firefighters and employees were taking apart the sawdust collection system ducts, and a thermal camera revealed an area of increased heating.

By a little after 3 p.m., the fire was out, according to initial reports.

No further information was available at press time Tuesday night.
