SALAMANCA, N.Y. — Allegany State Park is holding an evening of listening to music by the fireside at it’s Red House Administration Building.
Local musician Jamie Haight will headline January’s “By the Fireside” event, set to take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 21 in the lobby of the building.
Haight began playing guitar at the age of 9 and has played with bands including Djava, Sweet Jane and China Phrog. Over the last several years, Haight has done mostly solo work, performing at area venues and recording albums. He currently entertains crowds with songs from artists such as Harry Chapin, The Five Man Electric Band and Nirvana. He was also a member of the Chautauqua Area Musician Program’s “Fantasy Rock Star League,” and was voted Chautauqua County’s best lead guitarist in 2005.
