Several performers will take to the stage at Kickstart 2017, a New Year’s party this weekend at Open Arms Community Church in Foster Township.
The event, which will run from 6:30 p.m. Saturday until 12:15 a.m. Sunday, will feature Chord of Three Strands, The Crown, Acoustic’s Anonymous, The Grand Day, Stony and Company featuring Amy Priest, Lorie A. Bradford, Matt Burt and Roy Collins and Menton Harding.
The event will also include food, door prizes and the ball drop on the big screen.
“We were sad to hear of First Night being cancelled,” said Open Arms Community Church Pastor Mike McAvoy. “We’ve always enjoyed the privilege of being a part of serving the community during the festivities. In light of the circumstances and our past involvement, we felt we wanted to do what we could to provide a family friendly, fun event that would be entertaining, provide opportunity for folks to hang out together, and to celebrate the end of a year and the beginning of a new one.”
Those attending the event are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items, laundry detergent and personal care items to be given to the YWCA Bradford.
