It won’t be much of a white Christmas in the Bradford area –– at least not much more snowfall is expected to be added to what’s already fallen.
Area residents and visitors will likely wake up to a light coating of snow today and then a possible snow and rain mix, according of Paul Head, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service based out of State College.
Some sleet could also occur, he said. Temperatures will be close to freezing, Head said, though traveling should be fine on roads that are treated.
Rain and snow are likely before 1 p.m. today, then patchy drizzle between 1 and 4 p.m., the weather service predicts. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.
During the day, temperatures will be between 35 and 40 degrees, Head said.
For tonight, the weather will be mainly cloudy with some fog in some spots, he said. The weather service says the low temperature will be around 26 degrees.
On Christmas, the skies will be partly sunny with a high of around 35 and 40 degrees, Head reported. For that night, the weather service said there is a chance of rain or freezing rain. The night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 29 degrees, the weather service is forecasting.
Rain is likely on a cloudy Monday. A high temperature of near 49 degrees is expected, the weather service said.
