SMETHPORT — A Smethport man pleaded guilty Thursday in McKean County Court to allegations he escaped from custody.
Caleb A. Crenshaw, 23, entered the plea to charges of escape and theft by unlawful taking. Crenshaw entered the plea to allegations that on Oct. 20, while an inmate at McKean County Jail, he left the Good Growing Gardens barn, where he was doing community service; also, he stole from someone Bic pens and batteries valued at $5. He will be sentenced on Jan. 12.
Also in court, Sandra D. Quino, 44, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to one count of forgery. Between Oct. 20, 2015, and May 14, 2016, Quino forged doctor’s excuses to her daughter’s elementary school, according to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer. She will be be sentenced Jan. 12.
Tessa R. Fair, 25, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to charges of recklessly endangering another and unsworn falsification to authorities. Assistant District Attorney Sean Barrett said that on Sept. 23, Fair recklessly drove a four-wheeler in Bradford City while a 1-year-old boy was strapped to her chest; also, she provided a false written statement to police. She will be sentenced Jan. 12.
Ronald G. Thompson, 21, of Smethport, pleaded guilty to a charge of institutional vandalism. On Sept. 12, Thompson, who was an inmate in McKean County Jail, damaged a cable TV box there by pouring water on it, according to Barrett. He will serve nine months of probation.
Stacey A. Putnam, 43, of Port Allegany, pleaded guilty to five counts of bad checks. According to Barrett, between Feb. 18 and March 7, Putnam wrote five bad checks for a total of $996.88. She will be sentenced Jan. 26.
Ashley A. Macclymont, 30, of Cyclone, pleaded guilty to a charge of resisting arrest and a summary charge. According to Shaffer, on Nov. 20, Macclymont resisted arrest by two Bradford City Police officers, and she had subjected a man to physical contact. She will be sentenced Jan. 26.
Nichole M. Tankersley, 29, Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of retail theft. On Aug. 22, Tankersley took $187.74 worth of clothing from Walmart in Foster Brook, according to Barrett. She will be sentenced Jan. 12.
Jessica L. Mihalko, 32, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. She will serve one year of probation.
Accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for driving under the influence of alcohol are Ian D. Hoffman, 25, of Bradford; James H. Quirk, 68, of Olean, N.Y.; Barbara J. Seeley, 59, of Lewis Run; and Kera L. Taylor, 44, of Turtlepoint.
Caroline E. Shine, 67, of Bradford, will pay a $150 fine for a summary charge of disorderly conduct.
Meanwhile, two men were sentenced earlier this month in McKean County Court.
Todd Westfall, 49, of Freedom, N.Y., was sentenced Dec. 16 to seven to 23 ½ months in McKean County Jail on charges of endangering the welfare of children and indecent assault against a person less than 13-years-old, according to court records. Court records also indicate Westfall will have to register as a sex offender for his lifetime. He pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to allegations that from January to July of 2002, Westfall violated his duty of care to a 10-year-old female child, had indecent contact with her, kissed her on the mouth and touched her inappropriately.
Adam J. Falk, 37, of Bradford, was sentenced Tuesday to 18 months of probation on a charge of recklessly endangering another person.
