JOHNSONBURG — Bradford’s Bri Wells did her part with 25 points, but Johnsonburg’s Skylar Sherry and Nicole Myers combined for 39 to lead the Lady Rams to a 61-36 victory in girls non-league basketball action Monday.
Sherry led J-burg with 20 points while Myers chipped in 19.
‘We’re struggling to put the ball in the basket,” said Bob Hannon, Bradford coach. “Bri played extremely well, but she’s not getting a lot of support from our other players. We need to get her some help.”
Wells also came up with three steals, while teammate Taylor Smith grabbed six rebounds.
“We also need to take better care of the ball,” stated Hannon, who had nothing but praise for the Lady Rams.
“They are a good team and they play well together,” Hannon noted. “They spent time playing over the summer and they’re young, so they’re going to be around for a couple of years.”
Bradford (0-4) returns to action Wednesday in its home opener against Kane.
